U.S. Embassy Issues Statement Ahead of Upcoming Rally in Armenia
In anticipation of the rally scheduled for November 5 in Yerevan, the U.S. Embassy in Armenia has released a statement.
Local media reports indicate that a demonstration is expected to take place around 3:00 PM at French Square, which may be followed by a march.
The embassy's announcement cautions that the demonstrations could become "unpredictable," noting that "participants may change direction at any moment, creating new obstacles for the movement and transit of people." It emphasizes that "even peaceful demonstrations can escalate into confrontations and potentially even violence."
The embassy urges people to follow local media, avoid crowds and protests, inform friends and family about their safety, and remain aware of their surroundings.
