Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Attacked
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been attacked in Pakistan. Gunfire was opened on his vehicle with an assault rifle. The former prime minister has been injured in the leg and has been transported to a hospital; his life is not in danger. As a result of the shooting, one of his supporters has been killed, and several others have been injured.
The former prime minister was conducting an election campaign in eastern Wazirabad province when an unknown assailant opened fire on the convoy.
It is noteworthy that Imran Khan was ousted in April when the parliament expressed no confidence in him. According to a court ruling, he is ineligible to run in next year's elections, but his supporters are actively campaigning, planning to march from the provinces to Islamabad.
