Zatulinn Wanted to Visit Jermuk
It was reported earlier that Konstantin Zatulinn, the chairman of the Russian Federation's Commission on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots, has been deemed an undesirable person in Armenia and has been banned from entering the Republic of Armenia.
The reason given is that Zatulinn has publicly accused the Armenian authorities of the loss in the 44-day war and stated that Prime Minister Pashinyan should resign. However, the issue is not simply Zatulinn's interviews; rather, it reflects the Armenian authorities' fear of the upcoming session of the Lazarev Club, which was scheduled to take place on October 28 and is founded and chaired by Konstantin Zatulinn.
Yesterday, he addressed a letter to Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, requesting permission for club participants to visit Jermuk. "The Russian participants of the meeting are very interested in understanding the situation created in Jermuk and surrounding areas in relation to the advance of Azerbaijani armed forces in that direction. We ask for your support in allowing my visit and that of the meeting participants to Jermuk for one day, which will take place on October 29 (the expected number of participants is 50, requiring two buses). The organization of the trip and transportation costs will be covered by the Lazarev Club," Zatulinn wrote.
