Collision Between BMW and Opel; Driver of Opel Dies at Scene

On October 9, at 15:35, a call was received at the Aragatsotn regional crisis management center reporting a traffic accident on the Oshakan-Voskevaz highway. A firefighting and rescue squad from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that a BMW and an Opel collided near the Voskevaz village municipality; the driver of the Opel died at the scene. Before rescuers arrived, the driver of the BMW, along with four passengers, as well as the passenger of the Opel, were hospitalized.

Rescuers deactivated the vehicles, closed the valves of the gas cylinders, secured the area, and brought the body of the Opel driver closer to the ambulance.
