What is the Picture Based on the First Results of the Referendums: When Will the Entry of the Mentioned Regions into Russia Be Discussed?

The referendums in Donetsk and Luhansk and in the liberated territories can be considered valid and legitimate, said Crimean senator Tsekhov in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The counting commissions have published the first results of the referendums in the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. According to the published figures, the votes of the residents of these regions in Russia were distributed as follows:

• In Donetsk, 98.63% of the voters voted in favor of joining Russia.
• In Luhansk, 97.93% voted for joining Russia.
• In the Zaporizhzhia region, 97.74% supported joining Russia.
• In the Kherson region, 96.3% voted for joining Russia.

The Federation Council of the Russian Federation may discuss the entry of Luhansk and Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia into Russia on October 4, provided the referendums have a positive outcome. This was announced by the chairwoman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko.
