Statement from Turkey Regarding Events at the Armenia-Azerbaijan Border
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on Armenia to immediately cease provocations. "Armenia should focus on peaceful negotiations and cooperation within the framework of agreements reached with Azerbaijan," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu wrote on social media.
The minister also announced that he had a phone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov. The parties discussed Armenian provocations at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
