No Agreement Can Protect Us: Ruben Vardanyan
Ruben Vardanyan, the founder of the Artsakh Security and Development Front, public figure, and entrepreneur, made a Facebook post stating: “Just hours ago, Azerbaijan launched an armed attack on several communities in Armenia's Syunik, Gegharkunik, and Vayots Dzor regions. Azerbaijan continues its provocations and aggression against the Armenian people, violating all norms of international law and agreements, while exploiting the current international tension.
This latest act of aggression demonstrates that no agreement can protect us unless we are strong and united in defending our homeland. Unfortunately, the neighboring country refuses to acknowledge that war is not a solution to the issue. They have failed to learn lessons from history and foolishly believe that they can achieve peace through the use of force. They are attempting to pressure us and impose their demands without understanding that continuous aggression will lead us to respond asymmetrically.
The number one guarantor of peace and security is the unity of the whole nation with the army; becoming a nation-army. We must finally awaken and not remain indifferent to the fate of our Homeland. We stand on the threshold of a new Sardarapat, and only by uniting and becoming one fist can we defend our freedom and our right to live on our land. Strength and unity to us all!”
