Pashinyan and Putin to Meet: What We Know
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, is set to discuss the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. This information was reported by TASS, citing Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
“It is expected that the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh’s resolution will be discussed. Russia continues to support the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan based on the trilateral agreements between the leaders. The Russian peacekeeping contingent is ensuring the security of the region,” Ushakov stated.
According to him, the parties will also discuss the main aspects of Armenian-Russian relations, including prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation.
“Cooperation in the energy sector is also developing. Gas supplies from Russia exceed 2.4 billion cubic meters annually,” he added.
