The European Union Can No Longer Afford to Waste Time: Charles Michel
The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, stated in an interview with Süddeutsche Zeitung that the European Commission is responding too slowly to the skyrocketing prices of gas and electricity. It has yet to present any concrete proposals to stop the rise in gas prices.
“We did not discover the problem today. This issue was discussed as far back as October of last year and has been raised multiple times since then. We have asked the European Commission several times to provide clear proposals. The price hikes in gas and electricity are a disaster for our citizens, families, and companies,” Michel remarked.
The President of the European Council emphasized that the European Union can no longer afford to waste time.
