Ruben Vardanyan's Russian Assets to Be Transferred to Family Foundation After Moving to Artsakh
Russian billionaire Ruben Vardanyan's Russian assets will be transferred to a family foundation after he renounces his Russian citizenship and moves to Artsakh. “I will give everything to the leadership of my partners and transfer it to the family foundation,” Vardanyan told RBK in response to a question about his Russian assets.
It is recalled that the day before, Ruben Vardanyan announced his decision to move to Artsakh and create a front for the security and development of Artsakh. He has called upon the Armenian community around the world to unite for the fight for Artsakh, as he considers Artsakh to be “the roots and foundation of our people.”
“For us Armenians, the moment of existential Sardarapat has arrived. We do not feel it, just like we do not feel radiation. But if we all do not stand together shoulder to shoulder, we will lose what is our support,” Vardanyan stated.
He also indicated that he renounced his Russian citizenship to come to Artsakh as a citizen of Armenia, “because that is the right thing to do.” Last year, Forbes estimated Vardanyan's fortune at 1 billion dollars.
Ruben Vardanyan's video address on September 1 was recorded in Artsakh, near the Tnjri tree, one of the oldest trees in the world, which is over 2000 years old.
