Statement from the Prosecutor's Office of Artsakh

The Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a statement on its Facebook page.  "In connection with the processes taking place in the Berdzor corridor, various publications are being circulated on social media and in the media regarding ‘negotiations with the Azerbaijani side by officials of the Republic of Artsakh,’ ‘transactions,’ ‘agreements,’ and other alleged actions.

In this regard, we clarify that the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Artsakh is not an operational-investigative agency. According to Article 146, Part 2 of the Constitution of Artsakh, the Prosecutor's Office is a state body tasked with overseeing the legality of pre-trial criminal proceedings in accordance with the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Legislation of Artsakh. Therefore, if anyone possesses information about a specific criminal act, they can report it to the Prosecutor's Office. We assure you that the Prosecutor's Office will ensure a complete, objective, and comprehensive investigation by the bodies conducting the inquiry and pre-investigation processes."
