Raffi Hovhannisyan's Proposed List for Armenia's Temporary Government
Leader of the Heritage Party and former Minister of Foreign Affairs Raffi Hovhannisyan held a press conference today where he announced the list he has prepared for the National Council of Trust, which he believes should serve as the basis for a future government and, in a few months, for new elections.
“Arman Tatoyan, Arkadi Manukyan, Vazgen Manukyan, Avetik Chalabyan, Paruir Hayrikyan, Ruben Vardanyan, Gevorg Gevorgyan, Lilit Galstyan, Mher Grigoryan, Hambardzum Matevosyan, Anna Grigoryan, Armen Darbinyan, Vahan Artsruni, Gagik Ginosyan, Bagrat Spivak,” Hovhannisyan revealed his version of the temporary government while also announcing that he has not spoken with the individuals included in the list and they are not aware of his viewpoint.
“I am not putting anyone under any pressure. This is simply a methodology. This is a proposal to create balance after removing the blockage, to advance negotiations for this short period, and to establish stability. Clearly, this list will not work; there may be exclusions, and there will be people who will say ‘no’. There are those who will say, ‘I should be there,’” Hovhannisyan stated.
Hovhannisyan urged the political forces of Armenia to unite, calling on them to rise above party interests and to abandon rhetoric that leads to division for the sake of Armenia and Artsakh.
