Father of Political Figure Goes Missing

Yesterday, on July 27, starting from 07:00 AM, rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with community police and criminal investigation department officers from the Ijevan police, are conducting search operations in the forests near the village of Achajur.

According to Shamshyan.com, a day ago, a report was received at the Ijevan police station from a resident of Achajur village who stated that his father, 86-year-old Grisha Kokobelyan, had left the house and had not returned.

Search operations continued yesterday until nightfall but yielded no results. At 21:00, due to darkness and difficult terrain, the searches were suspended. Today, on July 28, efforts have resumed early in the morning.

As per Shamshyan's information, the missing Grisha Kokobelyan is the father of well-known political figure Khachatur Kokobelyan. An investigation has been initiated at the Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee regarding the fact of his disappearance. Relatives and fellow villagers of Khachatur Kokobelyan are also participating in the search efforts.
