Investigative Committee Reveals Cause of Explosion at Unibank
The Investigative Committee of Armenia is taking necessary measures to clarify all circumstances surrounding the explosion that occurred at a branch of Unibank.
This information was reported by the Investigative Committee of Armenia. A report regarding the explosion in Ashtarak was received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations 911 service on July 6, 2022, at 09:05.
The explosion at Unibank's Ashtarak branch occurred around 09:03, reportedly due to a gas leak, resulting in seven employees being hospitalized with varying degrees of bodily injuries, one of whom subsequently died in the hospital.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated under the second part of Article 412 of the RA Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway. By a decision of the investigating body, forensic, explosive-technical, construction-technical, fire-technical, forensic-examination, and trace-examination expert examinations have been appointed. Instructions have been given to the investigation body.
