Michel Calls Aliyev to Discuss Brussels Agreements
The President of the European Union, Charles Michel, has had a telephone conversation with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. This was reported by Azerbaijani media.
During the conversation, Charles Michel emphasized the importance of ensuring stability, peace, and security in the South Caucasus for the European Union. He noted that the EU will continue its efforts towards the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the signing of a peace agreement, the delimitation of borders, and the opening of transport and communication routes.
Referring to the trilateral meetings initiated and attended by Charles Michel, and the agreements reached within that framework, Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that the negotiations on the normalization of relations, the signing of a peace agreement, border delimitation and demarcation, and the opening of transportation and communication routes will lead to tangible results.
