96-Year-Old Queen Elizabeth II Delegates Some Duties to Prince Charles
Queen Elizabeth II is transferring some of her duties to Prince Charles, reports The Sunday Times.
The publication reached this conclusion after significant changes were made to the official list of the monarch's duties, the first such alteration in more than a decade, published by Buckingham Palace.
This year, Prince Charles has attended events traditionally requiring the monarch's presence, which have usually been part of Queen Elizabeth II's schedule.
This year, Queen Elizabeth II turned 96, while Charles is now 73 years old.
In June, the Queen's Platinum Jubilee was celebrated, marking her 70 years on the throne.
