Turkey Detains Russian Cargo Ship Carrying Ukrainian Grain
Turkey has detained a Russian cargo ship carrying Ukrainian grain. The ship is currently moored near the entrance of the port and has been seized by Turkish customs authorities,” stated Vasyl Bodnar, Ukraine's ambassador to Turkey.
Earlier, Ukraine requested Turkey to detain the grain ship that had sailed under the Russian flag from the port of Berdiansk. According to Reuters, the vessel in question is the 'Zhibek Zholy,' which was carrying 4,500 tons of grain belonging to Ukraine from Berdiansk.
A customs representative at Turkey's Karasu port was unable to confirm or deny the information regarding the detention of the Russian cargo ship.
