Azerbaijan's Latest Delusion: Insights from an Iranologist

Iranologist Vardan Voskanyan has made a post in which he states:

“Baku's authoritarian propaganda machine has come out with another delusion, claiming that through ‘journalistic investigation’ a supposed Iranian anti-Azerbaijani network targeting the artificial entity known as Azerbaijan has been revealed, and that I am allegedly its leader. In reality, however, Baku's propagandists, due to their pathological fixation, do not understand that the issue lies in the barbaric and anti-Armenian, anti-Iranian nature of what is called Azerbaijan—a cancerous entity in essence—which cannot but lead the two ancient and civilized nations of this region, us Armenians and the Iranians, to the thought that this designation must be removed from the healthy body of the South Caucasus,” Voskanyan has written.
