Conditions Under Which Sanctions on Russia Will Be Lifted, German Chancellor States
Germany has outlined the conditions for the lifting of sanctions against Russia. As reported by TASS, Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated during a joint press conference with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that the conditions involve not only the cessation of military operations but also the "normalization of the situation" in Ukraine.
"Sanctions will not simply end with the conclusion of the war. A prerequisite is a change in the situation, an improvement in the situation, and Russia's understanding that it cannot dictate peace terms to Ukraine. Russia must negotiate an agreement that guarantees Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty," Scholz said.
