Britain Urges Zelensky to Intensify War Efforts, Says The Guardian
In an op-ed for The Guardian, BBC writer and presenter Simon Jenkins expressed concerns that Western calls for a 'complete victory' for Kyiv could lead to disastrous escalation. He wrote that 'the balance of military forces has reached an impasse.' While France and Germany are acting cautiously in Ukraine, Britain has promised 'unwavering support' to Kyiv. Jenkins warns that the government must cease its calls for war; otherwise, it could lead to a larger escalation.
‘If British Prime Minister Boris Johnson feels unable to call for peace, he should at least stop calling for war,’ Jenkins stated.
