Boxing European Championship: Armenia Gains First Victory

At the European men's boxing championship being held in Yerevan, Armenia has secured its first victory. According to Armenia Sputnik, the win was achieved by Vahakhtang Harutyunyan in the 75 kg weight category.

On the opening day of the competition, the athlete stepped into the ring and defeated Poland's Bartosz Golebiewski.

It is noteworthy that the grand opening ceremony of the European boxing championship took place on May 22 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan. More than 200 athletes representing 39 countries are participating in the championship. The total prize fund for the European Championship amounts to $260,000.
