Biden Calls for Military Planes to Deliver Baby Formula to Alleviate National Shortage

U.S. President Joe Biden referenced the Defense Production Act on Wednesday to increase the production of baby formula and alleviate the nationwide shortage resulting from the closure of a major facility in Michigan, according to Bloomberg.

Biden is demanding that suppliers of ingredients used in baby formula prioritize shipping these products to primary manufacturers over any other buyers.

The President has also instructed the Departments of Health and Human Services and Agriculture to utilize military aircraft to transport baby food from overseas, ensuring compliance with U.S. health and safety standards.
