Russia's Foreign Ministry on Opposition Protests in Armenia

Russia views the protest movement in Armenia as an internal affair of the republic and is not interfering in the process. As reported by TASS, this statement was made by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko.

“What is happening there and what the top leadership of Armenia is declaring is an internal affair of Armenia. We are aware of this and do not interfere in these processes,” Rudenko said.

It is worth noting that on April 22, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and a member of the ‘Armenia’ faction, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, announced the start of street protests aimed at removing Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his team from power.
