New Owners of London's Chelsea Football Club Revealed
The London Chelsea Football Club has agreed to sell the club to a consortium made up of American businessmen Todd Boehly and Mark Walter, Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss, and investment firm Clearlake Capital.
According to The Telegraph, the deal is valued at £4 billion (approximately $5 billion) and is subject to approval by the British government and the Premier League.
Chelsea has stated that £2.5 billion of the total amount will go towards the acquisition of club shares, which will be donated to charitable purposes. An additional £1.75 billion will be invested in the development of the club.
It is noteworthy that Roman Abramovich was the owner of Chelsea since 2003.
