MPs' Photos Posted on Backpacks Amidst Disgraceful Behavior: Investigative Committee
The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia is investigating a case regarding serious insults occurring during an event carried out by the political opposition on Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan, based on Article 137.1, Part 2, Points 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code.
According to preliminary data, on May 3, 2022, during the aforementioned initiative by the political opposition, a group of citizens displayed disgraceful behavior by pasting photographs of National Assembly members on their backpacks. On the same day, at 13:50, these citizens, suspected of committing serious insults, were apprehended by the relevant department of the Armenian Police during a protest action.
An investigation is underway.
