Next Phase of Special Operation in Ukraine Begins: Lavrov
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, stated in an interview with India Today that Russia does not consider the possibility of using nuclear weapons in Ukraine. "Only conventional weapons," Lavrov remarked.
The Foreign Minister noted that Russia has always declared that a nuclear war cannot happen, emphasizing that it is simply unimaginable.
Lavrov referred to NATO's eastward expansion as the reason for the special operation in Ukraine, pointing out that advanced offensive bases of the 'defensive' alliance were established in the former Soviet republics.
"I can assure you once again that our army is acting against military infrastructure, not against peaceful civilians," Lavrov added.
He also stated that Russia will clarify the truth regarding the events in Bucha. According to Lavrov, the next phase of the special operation in Ukraine is beginning.
