Slovakia Transfers S-300 Air Defense System to Ukraine

For the first time since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, Kyiv has received a Soviet-produced S-300 surface-to-air missile system, which has been transferred by Slovakia. This is reported by BBC.com.

Although it is not the most modern system, Ukrainian military personnel are familiar with its operation. The announcement of the S-300 transfer was made by Slovakia's Prime Minister Eduard Heger.

“The Ukrainian people are bravely defending their sovereign state and us. It is our duty to help, not to stand aside and turn a blind eye to the deaths of people,” he wrote on Twitter.
