“Crimea has returned home, and today, I believe it is time for South Ossetia to do the same”: Anatoly Bibilov

South Ossetia is ready to follow the example of Crimea and join Russia. This statement was made by South Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov.

“South Ossetia has always aspired to the Russian Federation, as the Ossetians, South Ossetians consider Russia to be their historical homeland. Here I see absolutely no difference with Crimea. Crimea has returned home, and today, I believe, it is time for South Ossetia to also return home,” said Anatoly Bibilov to RIA Novosti.

Bibilov stated that consultations on this matter are being held with Russia. According to him, a referendum on this issue could take place after April 10.
