Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Responds to US Statement

Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has issued a statement in response to remarks made yesterday by Jalina Porter, Deputy Spokesperson for the US Secretary of State.

It should be noted that the statement expressed deep concern regarding the movement of Azerbaijani troops in Nagorno-Karabakh, considering them and other escalation measures as irresponsible.

“Unfortunately, the United States, as a co-chairing country of the OSCE Minsk Group, has not taken any effective steps over the years to put an end to the nearly 30-year military aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan,” the statement from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

The statement further highlights that such remarks from a representative of the US State Department are irresponsible.
