Russian Airline Aircraft Seized in Armenia
“We had a total of 1367 aircraft in the country (before the sanctions – IF). We lost 78 aircraft, which were seized,” said Saveliev during a meeting of the Federation Council’s Economic Policy Committee. The aircraft have been seized, including in friendly countries of the Russian Federation such as Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, he noted.
According to Saveliev, the Russian Federation is trying to negotiate with Western leasing companies to purchase aircraft, but they are not engaging in negotiations.
