Has a Russian Aircraft Been Seized in Armenia? Comments from the Civil Aviation Committee
The Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Vitaly Savelyev, announced that nearly 80 aircraft of Russian airlines have been seized abroad due to anti-Russian sanctions. “The aircraft have been confiscated, including in countries that are friendly to the Russian Federation, such as Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Armenia,” the statement said.
Auroranews contacted the Civil Aviation Committee to clarify the information, and they stated that there is no such incident. “We do not have any Russian aircraft that is 'seized' at our airports,” said a spokesman for the Civil Aviation Committee.
