Ukrainian Attempts to Escape the Country by Hiding in a 'Baby Box'

Border guards from the Chernivtsi detachment have uncovered a Ukrainian citizen who attempted to cross the border into Moldova by hiding in a 'baby box' (infant carrier). Korrespondent.net reports that the 'unusual traveler' was discovered at the Rossosh border checkpoint in a Renault vehicle, which was being driven by a woman accompanied by her two children.

After checking the documents, the border guards also searched the trunk of the vehicle, where they found the man, born in 1985, hidden inside the 'baby box'. It turned out that the traveler was the woman's husband, who was trying to leave a country under military operations.

The citizen had been forced to remain in Ukraine, as men between the ages of 18 and 60 are prohibited from leaving the country during martial law.
