We Urge to Maintain Calm and Avoid Spontaneity: A Call to the People of Artsakh

The Information Headquarters of Artsakh has issued a statement:

“Dear compatriots,

In recent days, Azerbaijan, remaining committed to its aggressive and destructive policies, continues to grossly violate the provisions of the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, and resorts to various provocations pursuing different objectives – to escalate the situation, create security and humanitarian issues for the peaceful population of Artsakh, and form artificial pretexts for internal division, political manipulation, confrontation, and panic.

The provocative and criminal actions of Azerbaijan naturally provoke discontent and anxiety among our citizens, which is often voiced publicly.

We want to assure you that the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh and the peacekeeping detachment of the Russian Federation are taking all possible measures to promptly address the emerging issues, ensure the normal life of the population, and inform international organizations about Azerbaijan's criminal actions through Armenian and Artsakh channels.

Considering the aforementioned objectives of the Azerbaijani side, we urge you to maintain calm, avoid spontaneity, and refrain from creating additional flashpoints and pretexts for escalation.”
