Zakharova States the Purpose of Russia-Ukraine Negotiations
Negotiations between Moscow and the Ukrainian side are ongoing to end the senseless bloodshed, and there has been some progress already, said Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, on Wednesday.
"Negotiations are taking place alongside the special military operation with the Ukrainian side aimed at swiftly halting the senseless bloodshed and resistance of the Ukrainian armed forces. Some progress has been recorded," Zakharova stated during a press briefing.
Russia launched military operations in Ukraine on February 24. Western countries have begun implementing various restrictive measures against Russia and have expanded sanctions against Minsk in support of the Russian military special operation.
