Snow Falls in Some Regions, Black Ice Present in Certain Areas

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia.

The roads leading from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kary in Aragatsotn Province are closed. The Vardenyats Pass is closed to all types of vehicles.

Snowfall is occurring in Lori Province (excluding the city of Alaverdi), in the city of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor Province, and in the regions of Hrazdan, Charentsavan, Tsaghkadzor in Kotayk Province, as well as in the regions of Ashotzk in Shirak Province, in the Aparan region of Aragatsotn Province, and in the area referred to as "Meghru Sar" in Syunik Province and in the city of Kjharn.

Black ice is reported in various locations in Lori Province (excluding Alaverdi), in the regions of Aragats in Aragatsotn Province, in the region of Amasia in Shirak Province, and on the roads of Gyumri-Bavra and Sisian-"Zanger" in Syunik Province.

Regarding the Lars Pass, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
