During a meeting summarizing the activities of the Yerevan Prosecutor's Office in 2021, Armenia's Chief Prosecutor Artur Davtyan stated that there were 26 recorded cases of murder in Yerevan in 2021.

“For us, the widespread nature of criminal subculture remains a significant danger. Our city is not very large; if you enter any building and ask the local teenage boys, they can easily identify the well-known nicknames of those in the area. These individuals should be direct targets,” Davtyan noted.
