United States Imposes Sanctions Against the Operator of 'Nord Stream 2'
U.S. President Joe Biden has announced sanctions against Nord Stream 2 AG, the operator of the 'Nord Stream 2' gas pipeline and its management. This information was reported by the White House.
"Today, I have directed my administration to impose sanctions on Nord Stream 2 AG and officials of this organization," the statement says.
According to Biden, "President Putin has given the world an irresistible incentive to abandon Russian gas through his actions." He added that Washington would not hesitate to take action on sanctions in the event of further escalation.
