Russian Ambassador Summoned to the UK Foreign Office
The Russian Ambassador to the UK, Andrei Kelin, has been summoned to the UK Foreign Office to discuss the situation surrounding Ukraine, according to the embassy.
The embassy representative stated, “The ambassador has been invited to the Foreign Office to discuss the situation concerning Ukraine and has already returned.”
The UK Prime Minister’s office has also confirmed that the ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Office. In a statement on Twitter, UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss mentioned that she had instructed her deputy to summon the Russian ambassador to “clarify Russia’s violation of international law and the undermining of Ukraine’s sovereignty.”
