Two Azerbaijani MPs and One Accompanying Person Arrive in Armenia
Azerbaijani MPs have arrived in Armenia. This was stated by Maria Karapetyan, a member of the Civil Contract party, in a press briefing at the National Assembly today, February 21.
"Two MPs and one accompanying person have come. As far as I remember, one MP is independent, and the other is a member of the ruling 'New Azerbaijan' party," she said.
When asked if there would be interactions with the Azerbaijani MPs, Maria Karapetyan replied, "I have not seen them yet. In the institutional formats in which Armenian MPs communicate with MPs from all countries, including those from Azerbaijan, when they go on business trips, there will naturally be institutional presence this time as well. It is impossible to expect the opposite."
Earlier, we reported that on February 21-22, Yerevan will host sessions of the Euronews Parliamentary Assembly's Bureau and committees, which will include parliament members from Eastern Partnership countries and the European Parliament. A visit to Yerevan by MPs from the European Parliament, as well as those from Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and Georgia, is also planned.
