Number of Refugees Arriving from Donetsk to Russia Revealed
More than 40,000 refugees from the Donbas have already arrived in Russia, reports RIA Novosti, citing acting head of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry Alexander Chupriyan.
This morning in Rostov-on-Don, a regular meeting of the emergency commission regarding the situation of refugees from the self-proclaimed LPR and DPR took place.
“There is information that more than 40,000 people have been forced to leave the neighboring regions of Ukraine and arrive on Russian territory; they are currently mostly located in the Rostov region,” Chupriyan told reporters.
He added that during the night, about two thousand refugees from Donbas were transported by train from Rostov to the Voronezh and Kursk regions.
“Three trains, carrying approximately 2000 people, departed for the Voronezh and Kursk regions,” he stated.
