Video: "Do you know what, you should ask your masters that question". Tense situation in the National Assembly
On February 14, during a press conference held by representatives of the Civil Contract party in the National Assembly, member of the commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war, Armen Khachatryan, stated, "For the first time, I am hearing that our forces in Syunik are planning to hand over certain positions to the Azerbaijanis." This was in response to questions from journalists.
One journalist inquired whether the current government guarantees that there will be no new territorial concessions. "There are talks that certain positions in the Syunik region will again be conceded to the enemy," the journalist noted.
Khachatryan assured that this was the first time he had heard such a claim. He then verbally requested the National Security Service to investigate this matter. Nevertheless, the deputy promised to do everything possible to ensure the territorial integrity and security of the country.
"Do you know what, go and ask your masters that question. Are you here as a journalist or as an activist? What does it mean, 'do you guarantee or not'? Do we guarantee that there will be no casualties at the border? Who do you think I am, God? How can I guarantee anything? And can you guarantee that nothing will happen to you on your way home? Yes, we guarantee that we will do everything in our power to ensure the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia. Yes, we will do everything, and if necessary, we will give our lives for it," the Civil Contract representative affirmed.
