Foreign Mercenaries Discovered Near Donbass Contact Line
The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic's militia has discovered foreign mercenaries near the contact line controlled by Kyiv. This was reported by the agency's representative, Edward Basurin, according to Ria Novosti.
“Our intelligence confirms that there are English and Polish mercenaries in the Shyrokyne and Popasna regions. Their presence in Donbass is also corroborated by information from open sources,” he said.
Recently, the Ukrainian army has concentrated half of its personnel in Donbass and is periodically shelling local militias, including the use of banned equipment such as the Turkish Bayraktar strike UAV, as well as the Smersh and Uragan rocket systems.
Additionally, they have Javelin anti-tank missile systems at their disposal, which were supplied by the USA as military aid.
Moscow has repeatedly warned Washington and European countries that Ukrainian officials are attempting in every way to sabotage the implementation of the Minsk agreements and additional measures to ensure the ceasefire, which came into force in the summer of 2020.
In turn, the West has repeatedly claimed that Russia is preparing to invade Ukraine. Moscow denies the allegations, believing that such reports are a pretext for the deployment of American troops and NATO forces in Eastern Europe.
