Lars is Closed: What is the Situation on Armenia's Roads?

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and is difficult to navigate for other vehicles.

On the roads of the Syunik region, there are spots with black ice.

Regarding Lars, according to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in North Ossetia, the Stepanavansk-Lars road is closed for trucks.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
