‘There is nothing extraordinary.’ MoD responds to news of rapid troop deployment in Tavush

Reports are circulating on social media and in the press suggesting that soldiers have been rapidly deployed to positions in Tavush.

“All our soldiers, who were previously taken down from their positions and were supposed to be sent home today, have been urgently deployed to positions, thereby significantly increasing the personnel in anticipation of provocations,” states the information being disseminated.

Auroranews.am contacted the Ministry of Defense. The MoD stated that there is nothing extraordinary happening, and that it is a normal operation of the Armed Forces.
