Roads Closed and Impassable: What's the Situation in Lars

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and impassable roads within the territory of Armenia.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads from the "Amberd" high mountainous meteorological station to the Amberd fortress and Kar lake are closed. The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers, difficult to navigate for trucks, while it remains open for passenger vehicles.

In the Syunik region, there are areas of black ice on the roads.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Situations Department and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' North Ossetia crisis management center, the Stepanstsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
