Roads: There Are Closed and Difficult Passable Roads in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed and difficult passable roads in the territory of Armenia.

The road from Amberd Fortress to Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Province is closed.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers, while other vehicles face difficult conditions.

In Syunik Province, the Tatev-Shinuhayr road is difficult to traverse for trucks with trailers due to the use of snow chains.

On the roads in Vayots Dzor and Gegharkunik Provinces, as well as in the regions of Aparan and Aragats in Aragatsotn, and in the turns of Tigranashen in Ararat Province, there are spots of black ice.

In Syunik Province, blizzards are occurring on the Goris-Sisian and Tatev-Shinuhayr road segments.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia’s Emergency Management Department and the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Emergency Situations North Ossetia Emergency Situations Center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
