Gazprom Armenia's Statement on Explosion in Tichina Street
Gazprom Armenia has issued a statement today regarding the explosion that occurred on Tichina Street in Yerevan. The statement reads: "Gazprom Armenia LLC informs that on January 23, there was a gas leak from the underground medium-pressure gas pipeline passing through Tichina Street in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan, which resulted in the accumulation of a gas-air explosive mixture in adjacent residential buildings, leading to an explosion. The gas supply through the mentioned pipeline has been halted to identify the location of the leak and carry out further emergency recovery work.
Currently, the earthworks have been completed, and an inspection is being conducted to precisely identify the location of the leak and for emergency recovery operations. After that, the gas supply to consumers will be restored in accordance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the "Safety Rules in the Gas Industry" and in accordance with the phased version of the Gas Supply and Use Rules."
