The Map Doesn’t Reflect Only Armenia and Artsakh: Mirzoyan
During a question-and-answer session with the government in the National Assembly today, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan spoke about the resolution of the Artsakh issue, stating that the map does not only reflect Armenia and Artsakh.
“There are many powerful countries on the map that have strong economies and military forces, with interests that contradict each other, interests that coincide, and any geopolitical reality should be viewed in the context of these significant developments, especially as they are very rapid and dangerous,” said Mirzoyan.
The Armenian Foreign Minister emphasized that Armenia has adopted a position regarding the Artsakh issue, stating it is a matter of the rights of the people, and there are no territorial questions involved. “And, if my memory serves me right, the CIS member states mutually recognized each other's territorial integrity in the Almaty declaration, and after that, an agreement was adopted that was ratified in the parliaments of the countries, including the parliament of Armenia,” noted Mirzoyan.
Nevertheless, Mirzoyan announced that there is a negotiation process ahead, which will not be easy at all.
