37-Year-Old Man Killed by His Brother
In the framework of the criminal case initiated by the Investigative Committee of Armenia in the Ararat region, necessary measures are being taken to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death of a resident of the Kosh community in Ararat.
According to the Investigative Committee, the alert regarding this incident was received on January 12, 2022, reporting that a body had been discovered in one of the houses in the community, showing signs of violent death.
As a result of the measures taken, several significant circumstances regarding the incident have been clarified.
Preliminary data indicate that a quarrel broke out between a 37-year-old man and his brother on the night of January 11-12 over household issues. During the dispute, the brother inflicted multiple blows to the head and various parts of the body of his 37-year-old sibling using a bucket, hands, and feet.
During the preliminary investigation, immediate investigative and other procedural actions have been conducted, including an examination of the crime scene and the appointment of a forensic examination of the body.
As a result of urgent measures carried out, the brother of the victim was located and presented to the prosecuting authority. He has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious harm to his brother's health, resulting in his death due to negligence.
