Erdogan Addresses Musk: Turkish Satellite Launched into Space

Turkey's new Türksat 5B telecommunications satellite has been successfully launched into space. The launch took place from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.  The spacecraft was sent into orbit via the Falcon 9 rocket of American billionaire Elon Musk's SpaceX, as reported by Anadolu Agency.

Türksat 5B is Turkey's most powerful satellite. It was developed by the European corporation Airbus D&S and falls under the High Throughput Satellite (HTS) category. Türksat 5B belongs to a category of high-efficiency satellites. 

In connection with this, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan released a video message in which he noted that they prioritized SpaceX and Falcon 9 for this project.  

“On behalf of myself and the Turkish people, I congratulate Mr. Musk and the SpaceX company for not succumbing to the pressures and blackmail of anti-Turkish lobbyists,” Erdogan said.
